Kong: Skull IsIand Movie Review By Ryan Balkwill

Genre:  Action, Adventure, Fantasy

Directors: Jordan Vogt-Roberts

Writers: Dan Gilroy, Max Borenstein, Derek Connolly & John Gatins.

Casts: Tom Hiddieston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Brie Larson, John C. Relly, Tian Jing, John Ortiz, Terry Notary, Shea Whigham, Thomas Mann, Terry Notary, Jason Mitchell, Toby Kebbell & Corey Hawkins.

Plot: A team of scientists explore an uncharted island in the Pacific, venturing into the domain of the mighty Kong, and must fight to escape a primal Eden.

I think that the plot of Kong Skull Island is interesting (and this is the first King Kong related movie I have seen).

I thought that the film was fun but with some problems.

I do like the bit where John C. Relly’s Character explain the origins of Kong and every moment where kong and the Monsters were on screen. Also the music was well used to build up the vibe for a fun action adventure.

The Main Characters are James Conrad, (Tom Hiddleston) a broken but noble former British Special Air Service, Preston Packard (Samuel L. Jackson) As US Army Lieutenant Colonel and leader of the Sky Devils Helicopter squadron. William Randa (John Goodman) A senior official in the government organization Monarch. Mason Weaver (Brie Larson) a feisty and altruistic photojournalist and peace activist. The characters were weak and predictable with (as was the script) bu this is all ok bcause te movie is all bout it’s main character, itle of the film “Kong” and unlike Godzilla (who appears very briefly in his movie) Kong had a lot of screen time.

I do recommend this fun monster movie to everyone. And stay to the end for the post-credits scene.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars – Flixster/Rotten Tomatoes.
