Throwback Reviews of South Park Season 12 (2008) Review by Ryan Balkwill

Genre: Animated sitcom, Comedy

Created by: Trey Parker & Matt Stone.

Developed by: Brian Graden

Voiced by: Trey Parker & Matt Stone

Plot: The twelfth series of Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s cartoon “South Park” marks the first time Saturday Night Live cast member Bill Hader is given credit for contributing to the long-running program. Highlights include “Major Boobage,” a demented nod to the movie Heavy Metal that features Cartman rounding up all the cats in town; the boys reaction to seeing “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” in “The China Problem;” the “High School Musical” spoof “Elementary School Musical,” and the takedown of all things Twilight in “The Ungroundable.”

This season tackles topics like privacy, Mr Garisson’s hunt for his Penis, the internet and how people used the internet and much more.

This season was pretty good.

Pros: The animation is now way better than previous seasons, this season has some of my least favourite episodes like “Tonsil Trouble” “Britney’s New Look” & “Over Logging”, Cartman finally gets what’s coming to him & there was some funny moments that did made me laugh.

Cons: a big chunk of episodes from this season were not my favourites, Craig suck, the parents somehow maintain to still give their children really bad parenting advice. Thankfully Kenny is left alone in this season.

I recommend this new season of South Park as well the rest of the collection.

Rating: 6 out of 10 Stars – IMDB
