The plot: Anakin joins forces with Obi-Wan and sets Palpatine free from the evil clutches of Count Doku. However, he falls prey to Palpatine and the Jedi’s’ mind games and gives into temptation.
I’m looking forward to see this film right after I finish watching the final season of close wars.
This one was a joy to watch.
Pros: I like how everything in this film was all done in a fast bays style from scene to scene, the world of star wars look so vibrant & alive, the dialogue delivery are a little bit better than episode 1 & 2, Ewan McGregor was so good as Obi-Wan Kenobi, the lightsaber fights are incredible & after watching last 4 episodes of close wars before seeing revenge of the sith so I can feel for the emotions for what happening on screen and also setting the stage for the original trilogy ,.
Cons: As well the line-delivery is still wooden & still forced in time to time, the backgrounds and the close-ups are so bad & the 2nd act of the movie was the least interesting.
The Casts & characters:
- Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Master, general of the Galactic Republic and Anakin’s mentor.
- Natalie Portman as Padmé Amidala, a senator of Naboo who is secretly Anakin’s wife and pregnant with their children.
- Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, hero of the Clone Wars and former Padawan of Obi-Wan, who turns to the dark side of the Force and becomes the Sith lord Darth Vader.
- Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine / Darth Sidious, the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic who is secretly a Sith Lord, and later the founder and leader of the Galactic Empire. He takes advantage of Anakin’s distrust of the Jedi and fear of Padmé dying to turn him towards the dark side, becoming Vader’s master.
- Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu, a Jedi Master and senior member of the Jedi Council.
- Jimmy Smits as Bail Organa, a senator of Alderaan.
- Christopher Lee as Count Dooku / Darth Tyranus, Darth Sidious’ Sith apprentice and leader of the Separatists.
- Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Anakin and Padmé’s personal protocol droid that Anakin created as a child.
- Kenny Baker as R2-D2, Anakin’s astromech droid.
- Frank Oz as the voice of Yoda, a Jedi Grandmaster and the leader of the Jedi Council.
I recommend keeping this one along with the rest of the prequels & the close wars TV show.
